The clutch and brake pedal assembly quickly became
a major project.
The clutch pedal was missing, and the rotating center shaft was
rusted solid to the outer sleeve. I was able to remove the center
shaft, but after some consultation with a welder/mechanic friend,
decided to completely rebuild the pedal assembly. Instead of simply
copying the original design, we decided to implement some improvements
such as oilite bushings and grease nipples.
The photo below shows the pedals partially painted. The small
lever that should be on the right side of the clutch and brake assembly
will be welded in place when installed in the car. |
